Results

We sent out 172 surveys and recieved 54 responses. At a response rate of 31.39% we believe our sample size is large enough to draw the following conclusions.

Nearly 80% of the respondents thought that river diversions were a valid option to help save the coast. There were zero respondents who thought that no action was the best action.

A cross tabulation of "How long have you and your family lived in Louisiana?" and "What would you like to see done to save Louisiana's coast?"

The results show that there is a relation between the time a family has lived in Louisiana and The statistical test shows that the two questions are not independent of each other and are highly related, because of the p-value of 0.95.
